My name is Colin Watrin and I am a senior with a Sociology/Social Studies major and Communication and Women Studies minors. Since transferring to Western in winter 2007 I have done my best to take advantage of all the great opportunities and resources that WWU has to offer. I love working with people and have done so all around campus by working as an Orientation Student Advisor and Campus Tour Guide. I have also been involved with several clubs around campus including Western Men Against Violence and Queers and Allies for Activism. I also love playing intramural sports, hanging out down town and exploring the beautiful scenery around Bellingham.
My goal as the Vice President for Activities is to increase the awareness, involvement and recognition of student activities around campus. Western has an enormous amount to offer its students outside of the academic classroom that many people don’t take advantage of, or simply are not aware of. I plan to make the AS Club system more accessible to students and improve communication between clubs. I also will be working hard to empower other students to take advantage of their time at Western and all the great opportunities available to them. I love working with students so please stop and talk to me around campus or swing by to visit my office if you have any questions or just want to chat.
