  • Election Coordinator's Mission

    The Election Coordinator's mission each year is to conduct student elections in the spring, with the focus of increasing voter awareness, voter turnout and the number of student candidates. Some of the position's responsibilities include setting up the filing period, candidate meetings, the general election, as well as holding debates, and publicizing the election. In addition, the Election Coordinator is the chair of the Election Code Review Committee, which reviews and makes recommendations regarding the Election code to the AS Board of Directors.

AS Election Code Review Committee

  • The AS Election Code Review Committee reviews and recommends changes to the A.S. Election Code in order to simplify and clarify the Code and the A.S. Election process. They also encourage more professional campaigns, greater voter turn out, and increased candidate and electorate participation in the election process.

AS Election Board Chair

  • The Election Board Chair is responsible for the operation and organization of the Election Board as stated in the A.S. Election Code.

AS Election Board

  • The Election Board makes decisions concerning the fairness of Associated Students Election proceedings through hearings regarding candidate grievances. Judgments are made according to the Election Board's interpretation of the rules and regulations outlined in the Associated Students Election Code.
  • The board has seven members in addition to the Chair and they are appointed thru the committee appointment process
