Erik Lowe for VP of Legislative Affairs
My name is Erik Lowe, and I would like to become your new VP for Legislative Affairs. I am a sophomore, double majoring in history and political science, and have lobbied in Olympia with both the ACLU and Western's Associated Students. As Vice President of the Western Democrats and a member of the Legislative Affairs Council, I have firsthand knowledge of the obstacles facing Western students. Rising tuition prices and minimal financial aid are direct threats to a student's ability to receive an exceptional education. If elected, I pledge to work hard to persuade legislators at the state and federal level of the need for strengthened education spending. This spending would increase quality while maintaining tuition rates, thereby improving accessibility. Thank you for your support.
